The Zion Story Fireside (Reprise)

April 24, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT

The Zion Story Logo features an open book with sun rays extending upward from the pages. The book is sitting on a sheet of pure gold.

Back by popular demand, The Zion Story fireside which originally took place on September 26, 2021 will be repeated! If you missed the fireside launch, you won’t want to miss this! Bring your friends and family and prepare to be inspired.

The Zion Story is a historical preservation project of the Independence Missouri Stake and will help future historians answer the question of how we got from the Extermination Order to the New Jerusalem. The project assists members of the Independence Stake with preparing their oral or written histories and then preserves them along with applicable photographs, documents, and other materials of note which will help to tell the story. The stake is working in partnership with the Midwest Genealogy Center to prepare and archive oral histories as part of the Center’s “Tell Me A Story” program.

Come learn how to become involved and experience some of the stories and photos we have collected already!
